TK y kinder se basa en explorar conceptos basicos de la escuela y nuestro mundo. Lo hacemos con canciones donde aprendemos sobre las reglas de la escuela y también el clima. Si oyen a su niño/a cantando "pies y manos, pies y manos, pies y manos a ustedes mismos" sepan que lo aprendieron conmigo. 

TK and kindergarten is based on exploring basic concepts about school and the world around us. We learn through songs such as one about school rules and another about the weather. If you hear you child singing "pies y manos, pies y manos, pies y manos a ustedes mismos" just know they learned that with me. 

En primer grado continuamos las canciones como en kinder. Cambiamos canción a base de las unidades de IB en su salón. Aprenderán sobre las fases de luna, de la luz y el sonido y algunas más. Nos pueden encontrar cantando en nuestro premios al final de cada mes.

In first grade we continue to sing like we did in kindergarten. We change songs to go along with our classroom's IB units. We learn about things like the phases of the moon and also light and sound amongst a couple more. You can find us singing at our awards ceremonies from time to time. 

Segundo grado toca temas como las tradiciones familiares, el comercio y recursos naturales. Hacemos quesadillas y salsa de molcajete y compramos lo necesario para crecer una flor. 

Second grade touches on family traditions, currency and trade, and natural resources to name a few. We make homemade quesadillas with salsa, and we learn about money and use it to grow a flower. 

Tercer grado explora la gente indígena, ingeniería y los ciclos de la vida. Hacemos chocolate azteca, laberintos y aprendemos de los diversos animales que hacen parte de un ciclo de vida. 

Third grade explores indigenous cultures, engineering, and life cycles. As a class we make Aztec hot chocolate, mazes, and we learn about the different animals that can make up a single life cycle. 

Cuarto grado se enfoca en geografía, electricidad y el gobierno. Buscan diferentes lugares en Latinoamérica y hacen un mapa, reconocen de los diferentes lugares que puede venir la electricidad y hacen investigaciones de como los gobiernos de otros países ofrecen ayuda. 

Fourth grade focuses on geography, electricity, and the government. They look for different landmarks in Latin America and make a map, recognize where electricity can come from, and research how other country's governments help their people. 

Quinto grado empieza investigando las revoluciones latinoamericanas y sus causas. Luego empezamos a hablar de la emigración en relación a el libro Esperanza renace. 

Fifth grade starts off by investigating the revolutions in Latin America and their causes. We also touch base on the migration of people in relation to the book they read in their class, Esperanza Rising.  

Sexto grado explora la identidad, civilizaciones antiguas y como hacer un cambio. Hacemos entrevistas con nuestra familia sobre nuestros nombres, aprendemos de los aztecas y los mayas y hacemos un proyecto grande que ponemos en exhibición con nuestra clase. 

Sixth grade explores identity, ancient civilizations, and how to make a change. We do interviews with our family about our names, we learn about the Aztecs and the Mayans, and we do a big project that we exhibit with our class.

Para nuestro alumnos recién llegados de otro país hay muchos recursos que usamos para aprender inglés y acostumbrarnos a un lugar nuevo. Usando el currículo Benchmark Hello! aprendemos lo que necesitamos para empezar a integrarnos. 

For our newcomer students from other countries we have many resources that we use to learn English and get used to a new place. Using the Benchmark Hello! curriculum we learn what we need to start integrating.
