Greetings Harding Parents!

We are ready to launch into what is going to be a very exciting year!  School pride will be high as we begin with a completely remodeled auditorium!  We are proud to say that we will continue providing a three layered system of support in reading and ALSO in social and emotional learning.  We are determined to provide your child with everything that they need to do their very best at school.  We will continue our “Millionaire Program”, our 4th Grade weekly field trips to UCSB’s McEnroe Reading Clinic, our Dyslexia Program and all of the fun and exciting after school programs.

  • Some grade level supply lists are attached, 3rd, 5th and 6th will be sent on Monday.  They will all be available at the "Round-Up"
Tuesday, 8/14/2018
  • From 9:00 to 11:00 am, we will be hosting a TK / K Meet and Greet.  Please join us on the Mountain (TK/K) playground to learn about our program, to meet some friends and to share some refreshments!  Translation will be provided.
  • From 11:00 - 1:00 will be our annual “Registration Round-Up” also on the Mountain Playground
    • You should have received a Registration Packet in the mail
      • If you did not, then you can pick one up on the 14th before 11:00
    • At the Round-Up you will turn in your:
      • Address Verification
      • Emergency Card
      • Acceptable Use Form
      • Signed Parent Rights Form
      • Meal Application Form (mailed separately from the district)
    • Once completed, your child will be assigned a classroom and you will receive your “new and improved” HUPS Parent Handbook where you will find everything that you need to know as an involved and informed Harding parent!
    • You will be able to see what classroom your children will be in on August 21st after 1:00.  We will have rosters displayed on a whiteboard on the bridge.
      • Remember, we DO NOT post student names, just their student ID number

    • Our school opens at 7:55 for breakfast
    • 4th - 6th Grade
      • 8:15 - 1:30
    • TK - Kindergarten
      • 8:30 - 1:30
    • 1st - 3rd Grade
      • 8:30 - 1:30
  • BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT 5:30 - 7:00
    • We’ll meet in our (almost finished) newly renovated auditorium at 5:30.
    • Translation will be provided
    • Teacher teams will present in their classroom after a brief “Welcome Back” and introduction of staff.
