August 16, 2021 - August 20, 2021 Weekly Parent Message

Welcome to Harding School and the 2021-2022 school year!

Teachers and staff have been working hard, learning and planning together and as is their practice, going above and beyond for our HAWKS!  Our team just gets better and better!

We welcome four new teachers!  Ms. Thomas will be joining our 2nd Grade team and comes to us from Adelante School.  Ms. Delgadillo will be joining our 3rd grade team and comes to us from Westmont College.  Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Murphy  attended Antioch together and are excited to be Harding’s 4th grade team! Ms. Thomas, Ms. Delgadillo and Ms. Hernandez are fluent Spanish speakers and all new teachers are looking forward to developing close relationships with our Harding families.

We have several ways that you can get the information that you need to feel 100% informed!  These principal messages will continue weekly, our WEB PAGE ( will continue to be updated with relevant information and the Harding Foundation Page that is linked to our web page is another great source of information!

Additionally the District will be sending out regular communications via Parent Square.

School Supplies

Don’t worry about getting school supplies, we will have everything that your children need.  Breakfast and lunch are provided and offered at no cost.  The only things that you will need to get your children are a backpack and:

  • An extra mask

  • A refillable water bottle

  • A charged iPad

  • Ear buds

How To Use the iPass Screener Every Morning BEFORE School

We will continue to prescreen students using the Crisis Go iPass program.  For new parents, the process is simple:

  1. Primary parent/guardian receives daily email at 5:00 a.m. for each student.

  2. Click on the “report” button and certify  your children by answering the questions. (Parents can select English or Spanish)

  3. After they are certified, a green badge will display on the parent’s device if the children are cleared to come to school. Badges are different colors if not cleared.

  4. Students can display their badge using Safe2SpeakUp app on their iPad (uploaded by the district) or personal phone.

Where to Check In

If you have more than one child, siblings can check in at the location of the youngest in the group.  The older students can make then their way to their location.

  • TK/K students will check in on Mountain Street at the gate on the playground.

  • 1st and 3rd will check on Mountain Street door at the entry above the stairs.

  • 2nd and 4th will check in on the bridge entry closest to the Gillespi side.

  • 5th and 6th will check in at the Gillespie gate.
